Along with handling the marketing and advertising of Star H Equine Insurance Lucinda  also works with clients and prospective clients on their insurance needs. She is a licensed insurance agent and holds the hard earned Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designation.

Lucinda successfully showed Hunters for almost 30 years, winning many Equitation Medal Finals and Year-End Hunter Championships, both as a Junior and as an Adult. She was an active NCHJA (NC Hunter/Jumper Association) Board Member for over 10 years, and continues to judge NCHJA “C” level hunter shows.  Lucinda currently sits on the Executive Board of the NC Horse Council.

In 2003, Lucinda made the switch from showing hunters to showing reining horses, finishing first or second in several association Green Reiner standings. In 2007, Lucinda, riding her ‘Mr Jerry Jac,’ placed 2nd in the very competitive and prestigious NRHA Rookie of the Year Finals, and was the 2007 FRHA (Florida Reining Horse Association) Affiliate Rookie Champion. In 2011, riding her ‘Baroom Gunslinger,’ Lucinda earned the 2011 VRHA and SERHA Year End Championships in both Limited Non-Pro and Intermediate Non-Pro, as well as placing 6th in the NRHA Top Ten in both divisions.  In 2012, Lucinda has been showing her ‘Baroom Gunslinger’ in Intermediate Non-Pro and Non-Pro, and ‘Einsteins MrNoItAll’ in the Novice Horse Non-Pro I and II divisions.  Both horses have been doing very well.
